I am not sure this qualifies as a Christmas song, but it is played a lot during the season, and it has Christmas in the title, so, eh. If Die Hard gets to be a Christmas movie, this gets to be a Christmans song. It is a slow, contemplative song whose joy is more about taking time to appreciate the things around you than any specific holiday value. But the singer’s voice is beautiful, the music is haunting, and there are worse things than reminders to take a minute during the rush of the holidays to look around and be grateful for who and what surrounds you.
On our way from Stockholm
Started to snow
And you said it was like Christmas
But you were wrong
It wasn’t like Christmas at allBy the time we got to Oslo
Snow was gone
And we got lost
The beds were small
But we felt so youngIt was just like Christmas
It was just like Christmas
It was just like Christmas
It was just like Christmas
It was just like Christmas
It was just like ChristmasIt was just like Christmas
It was just like Christmas
It was just like Christmas
It was just like Christmas
It was just like Christmas
It was just like Christmas
It was just like Christmas
It was just like Christmas
